Operations from Upstream Oil and Gas Project Fall Sharp in 2018
warta Jurnal. Jakarta, the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) noted that there are six Upstream Oil and Gas Projects (PHM) operating in 2018. The number has fallen more than half compared to 2017 which reached 14 projects and under seven which became target of the beginning of the year.
"These six CMF have a total production capacity of 15.5 thousand barrels per day (bpd) and 105 MMSCFPD with an investment value of more than US $ 300 million," SKK Migas Head of Program and Communication Division Wisnu Prabawa Taher said in an official statement, quoted Friday ( 12/14).
Wisnu revealed that the six PHMs were located in Sumatra, Java and Kalimantan. According to operators, four of the CMFs are managed by PT Pertamina (Persero) and the remaining two are managed by the Medco Group.
If detailed, there are three projects in Sumatra. First, the optimization project for East Musi LP Flare PT Pertamina EP which has been operating since March 2018. Investment in planning, procurement and construction activities (EPC) reached US $ 11.3 million. Its gas production capacity (fasprod) reaches 15 MMSCFPD with estimated peak production of 15 MMSCFPD.
Second, PT Medco Block A's Block A Field Development project. This project consumed EPC investment of US $ 253.7 million. Asprod's capacity consists of 3,100 bpd and 55 mmscfpd with estimated peak production of 3,100 bpd and 55 mmscfpd full scale gas in November 2018.
Third, PT Medco EP Indonesia's Fasprod Field Lica optimization project with EPC investment of US $ 8.5 million. Fasprod capacity of 4 thousand bpd of oil with an estimated peak production of 3,700 bpd.
"Onstream estimates in December 2018, currently the employment status reaches 94 percent," Wisnu said.
In Java, there are two projects that will be operational this year. First, the SP Field Project by PT PHE ONWJ which began operating in October 2018. The EPC investment in this gas-producing project was US $ 50.7 million. The facasp capacity of 30 mmscfpd with an estimated peak production of 30 mmscfpd.
Second, the construction project of Poleng Field Subsea Pipeline by PT Pertamina EP. The project's EPC investment reached US $ 16.1 million. The facrod capacity is 700 bph with an estimated peak production of 700 bpd. The project has been completed and has been operating since September 13, 2018.
Third, in Kalimantan, there is a Nibung Gathering Station project replacing EPF Bunyu Field by PT Pertamina EP which has been operating since November 2018. The amount of EPC investment reaches US $ 7.2 million. The fasprod capacity is 7,750 bpd and 5 mmscfpd with peak production estimates of 7,750 bopd and 5 mmscfpd.
